• Welcome to Clomid Bodybuilding

Clomid is a part of the SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator) family and is often used to great effect as a protective agent whilst taking anabolic steroids. Over the course of this profile we’re going to explain how this item works, what kind of effect it’s going to have on your body and how it might benefit you as a user of anabolic steroids.

What Is Clomid?

To fully understand what clomid is, we merely need to consider how synthetic estrogen products work.

Though they were initially designed for use as part of anti-cancer treatment plans, they have seen widespread use as part of the bodybuilding community because of their ability to suppress levels of the “female” hormone estrogen.

How Do Synthetic Estrogens Work?

Though something labelled as a synthetic (manmade) estrogen might sound as though it’s going to lead to the same undesirable effects manifesting within the male body as estrogen itself, nothing could be further from the truth.

Where these synthetic varieties differ from the hormone they are based on is that they actually bind to the estrogen receptors within the human body by mimicking the profile of the estrogen hormone.

However, the difference here is that they do not exert the same effects within the system as their parent hormone - instead they effectively serve to “hold” the attention of the estrogen receptors, thus ensuring that the “real” estrogen in the body cannot fulfil its purpose to the fullest extent.

We do actually need estrogen as a means of controlling our cholesterol levels and maintaining the right level of bone density; too much in the male body though, and we start to exert unwanted side effects like water retention and gynecomastia (the development of female breast tissue.)

Another excellent benefit of clomid is that it stimulates the release of the follicle stimulating hormone and luteinising hormone - both of which are needed for the production of testosterone.

This makes it an excellent means of protecting testosterone levels over the course of an anabolic steroid phase. Being that steroids usually suppress the levels of this vital hormone, this is a welcome benefit.

Negative cholesterol levels may also reduce as part of a treatment program containing clomid. When you consider all of these factors, we are suddenly faced with an item that’s capable of offering rather a wide array of potential positive traits for the user.
